Gata Thermal Spa

Gata Thermal Spa is located near Bihać, and its waters belong to the category of homeothermal springs, with a temperature of 36°C, which is close to the human body temperature. This water is rich in minerals, including calcium, sodium, magnesium, and trace elements such as lithium, zinc, and strontium. It also has mildly radioactive properties that assist in the treatment of rheumatic diseases and post-traumatic conditions. The origin of this thermal water is linked to underground Triassic dolomites, where the water accumulates, becomes enriched with minerals, and is heated. Gata is recognized for its healing properties, and the first organized infrastructure was established in 1895. Today, Gata is well-known for its balneo-physical treatments for rheumatism, skin diseases, neurological issues, and injuries. Gata Spa plans to expand its services to include wellness and spa programs, aiming to develop a tourism and rehabilitation center.
