White Stone Via Ferrata

The via ferrata Bijeli Kamen takes you through the central part of a vertical rock face and ends at its summit. This route is designed to provide a challenge for climbing beginners, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the basics of the sport. It is located within Kozara National Park, not far from the popular climbing area known as Zečiji Kamen. The via ferrata is suitable for adults who are physically and mentally prepared for moderate physical exertion. If you plan to visit this via ferrata, head from Banja Luka towards Prijedor and turn right at Kozarac towards Kozara National Park. After entering the park, follow the gravel road to the left towards the Kotlovača mountain lodge, where a marked trail leads to the via ferrata. It takes about 30 minutes of walking to reach the start of the via ferrata. The via ferrata itself is 26 meters long, with an elevation gain also of 26 meters, and it is technically rated as C. The passage through the via ferrata takes approximately 10 minutes. After completing the route, you can return via the marked hiking trail back to the Kotlovača mountain lodge.
