The Ravanjska Vrata Necropolis was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2016. This necropolis, featuring medieval tombstones known as stećci, is located at the Ravanjska Vrata, which connect the Vukovsko and Ravanjsko fields. The necropolis is divided into two sections: the Lower and Upper Necropolis.
In the Lower Necropolis, there is a group of 43 stećci, of which 18 are decorated–comprising 5 slabs, 10 chests, and 3 gabled tombstones. The Upper Necropolis contains 25 stećci, arranged in a seemingly random manner. Surrounding the necropolis is a scattering of large and small stones, which harmonizes the tombstones with their environment.
