Baščaršija Nights

Bascarsija Nights is a traditional festival held in Sarajevo that celebrates the cultural heritage and artistic expressions of the region. It was established in 1996 in Sarajevo. The festival typically takes place in July and features a variety of events, including concerts showcasing different musical genres, from traditional Bosnian sevdalinka to contemporary and classical music. Various workshops are also organized, often focusing on traditional crafts, music, and dance, as well as literary events that include readings, poetry nights, and discussions with authors. The festival is held in the historic area of Bascarsija, providing a vibrant and atmospheric backdrop that enriches the cultural experience.
