Kreševo: A Gem in Central Bosnia
Kreševo is a small town located in the central part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, nestled at the foot of the Bitovnja mountain and its prominent peaks, Inča and Lopate. Hiking has been a cherished activity in Kreševo since 1936, thanks to the efforts of the Bitovnja Mountaineering Society, which has made its mark in the community over the past seventy-five years. Considering the long-standing tradition of mountaineering in Kreševo, it is no surprise that the idea for the first Outdoor Photo & Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina originated here.
The idea for the festival, proposed by Zoran Šimić, has been in the works for several years, with conditions finally coming together at the beginning of 2013. After years of storytelling, established contacts, and a well-developed concept, the festival finally received its date and the name “Outdoor Photo & Film Festival 3fok.” The abbreviation 3fok was created by playing with the letters; thus, the Photo and Film Festival became abbreviated as fff or 3f, the letter O was derived from the word Outdoor, and the letter K signifies the location of the event, Kreševo.
The festival’s organizers invite all hikers, climbers, spelunkers, boulderers, backcountry skiers, mountain bikers, paragliders, adventurers, biologists, ecologists, and all other mountain enthusiasts who own a camera, film, or video equipment, whether professionally or as amateurs, to submit their works to the 9th OUTDOOR PHOTO & FILM FESTIVAL KREŠEVO – 3FOK, which will take place in Kreševo from July 29 to August 1, 2021.
