Jajce UNESCO

UNESCO's Tentative List represents an inventory of sites located within a country's territory that it considers suitable for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Member states include in their Tentative Lists those sites they regard as cultural and/or natural heritage of exceptional universal value, which they intend to nominate in the coming years. Nominations for the World Heritage List are accepted only if the site has previously been included on the Tentative List. Jajce has been on UNESCO's Tentative List since March 10, 2006. This historic town in central Bosnia and Herzegovina is renowned for its rich history and natural beauty. Jajce is famous for its picturesque waterfalls, where the Pliva River cascades into the Vrbas River, making it a popular destination for visitors and photographers alike. Among Jajce's historical landmarks are the Jajce Fortress, which offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area, and the well-preserved old town featuring traditional architecture.
