In the municipality of Foča, you will find one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Balkans – the National Park Sutjeska. The Sutjeska National Park is the largest and oldest national park in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is home to one of the most diverse ecosystems in Southeast Europe. It is the habitat of the last rainforest in Europe and the highest mountain in BiH that proudly rises above. Within the depths of the Perućica rainforest, often called the “lungs of Europe”, you will find the astonishing Skakavac waterfall, running with its nearly 100 meters of height. It is one of the largest waterfalls in the Balkans.
