Customs

Import regulations:

Duty-free import:

  1. For passengers over 17 years old:

– 200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos or 250 grams of tobacco;

– 2 liters of table wine;

– 1 liter of spirits over 22% alcohol or 2 liters of alcoholic beverages under 22% alcohol.

  1. For all passengers:

– 60 milliliters of perfume;

– 250 milliliters of toilet water.

– Goods, including gifts and souvenirs, up to an amount of 200 BAM.

Regulations on weapons and ammunition:

A permit for import issued by the competent authority is required. Contact the Ministry of Interior.

Wild fauna and flora:

Import of certain endangered plant species, live animals, and their products is prohibited or restricted by CITES.

Additional information on regulations:

Allowed:

small quantities of fresh fruits and vegetables (excluding potatoes) and plant products.

Export regulations:

Export of artistic works is prohibited.

Pets:

Birds, cats, and dogs require a veterinary health certificate issued in the place of origin. Additionally, cats and dogs also require a rabies vaccination certificate.

Currency

Regulations on currency import:

Regulations on currency import:

Local currency (convertible mark – BAM) has no restrictions. Amounts exceeding 10,000 BAM or equivalent must be declared upon arrival.

Regulations on currency export:

Domestic currency (convertible mark – BAM) and foreign currencies: up to imported and declared amounts. Amounts exceeding the equivalent of 2,500 EUR require a bank certificate that the amount was withdrawn from a savings account in the currency or purchased from an authorized bank.

Airport

(12 USD) is charged to passengers boarding in Bosnia and Herzegovina for travel to foreign destinations.

Payment location: departure airport.

Exemption: transit passengers who do not leave the transit area of the airport.
